Welcome

The purpose of this site is to be a comprehensive resource for people interested in personal growth, overcoming inner obstacles, being helpful to others, and expanding consciousness. Here you will find instructions in everything from common psychological tools for dealing with negative self talk, to physical exercises for opening the body and clearing the mind, to meditation techniques for clarifying inner experience and connecting to deeper aspects of awareness, and much more.

There are three main sections in this site:

Psychological Practices
Spiritual Practices
Other Practices

The creators of the methods on this site are people just like you and you are invited to apply to become a contributor! Contributors can create new methods that contain techniques not described here. This collaborative model means that we can add much more material, allow relatively unknown ideas to share a place at the table, and represent many different viewpoints.

If you are interested in creating methods, look here.

Your Skillful Means is sponsored by the Wellspring Institute for Neuroscience and Contemplative Wisdom.
